Last weekend MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi lost control of his Audi RS6 and had a crash near the Italian ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio.
He was wrapping up his pre-season holidays at a ski resort and the accident happened while leaving the area. Fortunately, nobody was hurt during the accident, aside from Rossi’s Audi RS6. The car was damaged badly..
The 600hp monster suffered dent to the rear left bumper with exspensive damage caused to the bodywork..
Fractured rear wheels and axle..
And damaged a nice set of custom Akrapovič exhaust system.
Given the Rossi’s connection with Akrapovič, the damage to the exhaust system will probably be quickly fixed!
Moto GP 2017 calender kicks off in Qatar on 27 March, at the Losail International Circuit. Rossi will ride for Movistar Yamaha team on a Yamaha YZR-M1. The Italian is teaming up with Maverick Vinales. Having placed 2nd in the championship for the past 3 seasons, he hopes to gain his first championship title since 2009. He will have stiff competition his Honda rival Marc Marquez and former team mate Jorge Lorenzo, racing for Ducati.
Hopefully, by the time the season starts, his Audi RS6 will be back on the road, looking as good as new!
