Enormous success of the coupe-only 675LT, that was sold out in just two months after being debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, attributed to McLaren’s decision to build a droptop version, the McLaren 675LT Spider.
Another limited edition, same as the coupé only 500 units will be built, the McLaren 675LT Spider has already been sold out. That meas it met its goal even before the public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
The 675LT Spider is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 675hp and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, but due to the retractable roof mechanism it is 40kg (88 lbs) heavier than the coupé.
It will acheive a top speed of 326km/h (203 mp/h), sprint from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds. Base price in USA? $372,600.
