On Thursday’s Shakedown test of Rally Poland Kris Meeke rolled his car in the first corner due to a massive hole in the road. It spun seven times before coming to a halt. The team feared the damage might be too serious to allow him to compete.

After watching the video footage of the crash it seems amazing, that the roll cage was undamaged, meaning the team could be given the green light to begin work.
“With the FIA checks complete we are able to make repairs to make it like new again. It will be completely ready for Stage one this afternoon,” said Didier Clément, Citroen Racing chief operations engineer.

Considering the number of rolls it’s quite impressive that the car wasn’t badly damaged. They did have to change the rear wing, doors, front bumper, bonnet etc. Regarding mechanics, they only replaced the front radiators and put the car through thorough check.
